Hi! I’m Mairead, the person behind PrettyPlants. I’m 24, currently in school, and working to learn everything I can about horticulture and business.
I started PrettyPlants to share the aesthetic and wellness benefits of plants. While waitressing at local diners, I began cultivating and selling indoor and outdoor plants. It was there that I saw firsthand how a green, welcoming storefront changes the whole vibe for customers.
I’ve spent my recent summers doing hands-on field work: gardening and designing for clients, volunteering at West Place animal sanctuary and interning in land conservation.
Right now, I keep PrettyPlants small and independent. When I am not in the field, most of my time is spent caring for a curated selection of indoor plants and designing for clients.
